A truly remarkable sunrise at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Almost every tone of red imaginable, ruby, magenta, violet, candy apple, rose. It is almost like a scene out of Roger Rabbit. Several people have asked me if it is a painting. No, and I didn't do this with PhotoShop. I just kept coming back until the light finally gave me this amazing gift.
There I was, alone at the boardwalk at 5:30 am. Suddenly, the colors came up all around me. My heart was racing. I was so taken back, I almost forgot to take the shot. Fortunately good sense prevailed. 5 minutes later it evaporated like a puff of smoke. There, then gone.
